Nearly halfway into 2023, the farmers at YUM’s organic farm in Cipanas, West Java have made significant progress that contributes to the growth of the farm by increasing their skills and knowledge in organic farming.

Coming from a modest family, Iyya is the 2nd child of 3 siblings. Iyya's father works as a scavenger in Bogor, only coming home to see his family during weekends. The family relies on Iyya’s father’s modest and irregular source of income.

In the following months after an earthquake is the most crucial time for the people affected as most of the support has stopped after just one month.

With the support from PT. Mitsui Indonesia and KIN, we are able to mentor another 10 new Posyandu (community health posts) and assist 100 pregnant women to have a healthy pregnancy.

Our first batch of students have finished their 3-months internship, graduated from the program and have found jobs in the hospitality and tourism industry.
