YUM helps to build houses in Sirenja village, Donggala

YUM once again provided assistance to disaster victims in Sirenja District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. In addition to helping provide housing, YUM also carried out trauma healing for women victims of the disaster.

DONGGALA - Yayasan Usaha Mulia (YUM) once again provided assistance to disaster victims in Sirenja District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi, Monday (08/4). In addition to assisting in the procurement of sound systems for mosques, YUM also assisted in the construction of housing for 58 households in Tanjung Padang Village, Donggala.


YUM's Board Member Farah Diba Agustin said that her foundation plans to be present in the economic recovery of the disaster victims in Palu, Sigi and Donggala.
"We will not leave, so we are here again by bringing shelter, helping mosques and psychosocial assistance for mothers," said Farah who has been coming to help victims of the 28 September disaster.


In addition to the Tanjung Padang village houses, YUM also helped to build 45 housing for victims in the villages of Saloya and Amal. According to Farah, the economic recovery of the disaster victims is the responsibility of all parties, including YUM. In addition to helping provide housing, YUM also carried out trauma healing for women victims of the disaster. YUM was helped by a psychologist from Jakarta, Ary Woro, to provide motivation for women. "We will always be here," she added.


Meanwhile, a resident of Tanjung Padang village, Nurana, said they were grateful to YUM for helping the residents. He explained that since the disaster, YUM often provided assistance to the community both in logistics, shelter and trauma healing.
