Windari, Hospitality & Tourism Diploma student, secures 2nd place in Central Kalimantan Tourism Competition

We are thrilled to share the amazing achievement of Windari, one of our talented students from the 3rd batch of the Hospitality and Tourism diploma program at YUM. During her internship at Borneo Escape, Windari was invited to take part in a Tourism Package creation competition organized by the Department of Culture & Tourism of Central Kalimantan Province, with the theme "Explore Central Kalimantan." Each team consisted of three people and were asked to create complete tour packages including proposals, price lists/quotations, rundowns/itineraries, e-flyers, and presentations in Powerpoint form.

Equipped with marketing and computer skills (including designing posters, advertisements, etc.) from the Hospitality and Tourism diploma program, Windari and her team showcased their creativity and passion for tourism and excelled in the competition—securing 2nd place in the Tourism Package competition!

Through the Hospitality and Tourism diploma, we aim to provide our students with a comprehensive skill set. In addition to equipping our students with skills to take on roles like cleaning service, front office, or restaurant service, our courses also cover subjects like Marketing, Computer, Accounting, and other office-related skills, to empower our students to have the opportunity to thrive in various industries beyond the hospitality and tourism sector.
